Clearwater beach situated on Florida’s west coast offers relaxing tranquil beaches and beach resorts.
The Warm waters of the Gulf Of Mexico and white sandy beaches are the
main attraction, here you can lie on a sun lounger under the tropical
sun in peaceful and laid back surroundings.
Traveling
to Clearwater will take around an hour from the centre of Orlando, if
you don’t drive there are regular scheduled buses from Downtown
Orlando, or you could book an excursion with a tour operator such as
Virgin Atlantic, where you will be picked up by coach and transferred
to Clearwater leaving you to enjoy the whole day at your leisure, often
lunch at the Hilton Clearwater beach Hotel is included.
If you
feel sun-dazed from lazing on the beach - located just a short ten
minute drive is Downtown Tampa, where you can expect to find all the
usual shopping malls and clothing stores, however closer to hand is the
Countryside Clearwater mall and several little antique stores as well
as the usual surf and souvenir shops, bars and restaurants located all
along the Marina’s.
If like most Floridians you love Dolphins there is no better place to see them than in the Gulf of Mexico.
Boat tours depart every hour from Dolphin Beach complete with guide and
bar, which is a welcome relief on those really hot days.
The
tour itself lasts around an hour, where the skipper will reeve up the
boat and as it glides off the dolphins swim along side displaying some
magnificent jumps, just remember to take your camera, unless you pay
for it, this is the closest you will come to viewing them, and there
are plenty to view. Stretched all along Clearwater resides several
large condo’s some of which home to the rich and famous, many beach
resorts and high rise apartments are just some of the views from the
boat.
Sunscreen
or a loose fitting top is recommended when on the boat as it’s amazing
how sun burnt you can get even through the sea breeze.
