A Simple Power Strategy For Seniors
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:45pm
Golf is one sport where you can make adjustments for age. In tennis a
good player in his 20s will probably defeat a good player in is 50s all
things being equal. In running a runner in his 20s will probably beat a
runner in his 40s in the 100-yard dash. Age has its effects on us when
it comes to most sports. But in golf you can make adjustments to your
game to compensate for age.

How To Play 50 Feet to the Pin
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:45pm
Old sayings die hard. That's because they often contain a kernel of
truth within them. Take the old golf saying, You drive for show, but
you putt for dough-an old saw I often tell students taking golf lessons
for the first time. This saying highlights how critical the short game
is to winning matches and lowering golf handicaps. As golf sayings go,
it's a good one.

Minnesota Golfers Travel to Laughlin,Nevada
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:44pm
Like many Minnesota golfers do each winter I traveled to the sun to get
in some golf during the long, snowy Minnesota winter. I traveled with
three golf buddies from my hometown on a snowy February morning from
Twin Cities International Airport to the sun and flashing lights of the
Laughlin, Nevada / Bullhead City, Arizona area. I guess we could call
these two cities separated by the Colorado River and a time zone the
"Twin Cites of the Southwest". Some forty years ago Minnesota native
Don Laughlin staked his claim to a piece of the desert with a dream and
determination. As they say, the rest is history.

The Cure for a Fat Shot
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:44pm
This problem may be easier to fix than you think. You may not realize
it, but your back shoulder may be dipping towards the ground. This move
forces the club to hit the ground too early. Most of the time it
happens when you are really trying to get into the ball. Imagine…You're
200 yards out and you've chosen to hit the 4 iron. When you've got it
in your head that you have to hit the ball hard to get it there, it's
natural tendency to start your downswing with the hips in an effort to
"really get into the ball". That may work in baseball, but not in golf.

How to Hit the Ball well from Uneven Lies
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:43pm
I know some of you are laughing under your breath wondering what I am
doing writing a tip on UNEVEN LIES. What in the world could I possible
know about uneven lies living in Scottsdale, Arizona? Well, it is the
Grand Canyon State for starters, but yes you're right, we do not face
as many uneven lies as someone from North Carolina, for example.
However, there are plenty of times during the course of a round when we
are faced with a golf ball that might be on a side hill lie.

Here's an Easy Way to Add 20 Yards
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 01:43pm
Here's a really good tip that may help you to get rid of your slice.
Best of all, it's really pretty simple once you get the hang of it, and
understand why it's being used.
Chances are that you have battled with a slice at some point in your
golfing days. To be completely direct with you, dealing with a slice
really sinks. It hurts your golf game in ways.
