Lennon, Vanunu and "Give Me Some Truth"
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 02:42pm
On September 6, 2006, Mordechai Vanunu, a Christian convert from
Judaism, was once more inside of the Israeli Supreme Court. He returned
this time, regarding an appeal against the renewing of the restrictions
against him which have forbidden him to leave Israel and to speak to
media or foreigners, ever since he was released from 18 years in jail
on April 21, 2004.
The restrictions have been imposed in the name of Security, for the
Israeli government has maintained Vanunu could still have a secret he
has not yet told about the underground nuclear weapons facility in the
Dimona. Vanunu has not been there in 20 years, and International
Inspectors never have.

Iraqi-Americans: Not In My Neighborhood!
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 02:41pm
Today's global culture expresses its broad identity with the
inexhaustible use of images, print media and a virtual connection to
its citizens, spun country by country. Un-spinning spin is a citizen's
route to truth. But it takes uncommon energy and the will to know. The
spinmeisters depend on that very human tendency, effectively
demonstrating that the spin on the printed word can and does form
cultural definition, opinions and boundaries. Textual Imagery at its
most powerful.

America's Quest for Global Dominance" he told reporters, "The people of
the United States should read this ... instead of the watching Superman
movies."
And they are, for as of last Thursday afternoon, "Hegemony or

War on Terror, the Great Divide
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 02:40pm
Some intellectual and philosophical thought has come to light over the
issue of international terrorism and the obvious clash between Western
civilization and Middle Eastern culture. The issue comes about in a hot
topic debates regarding The War on Terror. Much of the world wishes to
appease the international terrorists and be very careful not to
disrespect them, draw the wrong cartoon or point out historical issues,
which we are about to be doomed to repeat.
