North Korea's Slight of Hand
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 03:16pm
North Korea for many today is a country that is not known very well.
Even among many in the Humanitarian field, getting help to people in
this distant country is difficult. We know so little about it, yet we
know it is a dangerous country. How do we know this? For one, many
politicians have said it. The next thing we must do is ask ourselves do
we believe them? After all if they are a dangerous country, a missle
heading towards Alaska is not a very long way to travel.

Live from New York's U.N. Theatre - The Devil and the Dancing Dictators
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 03:15pm
Iran’s Prime Minister Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressing the UN said things
that betray his ignorance of protocol, truthfulness and history. In one
breath he said “I respect the Jews†but made no effort to explain his
previous cry to wipe them off the map. In a typically uninformed world
view he asked why the Palestinians were not allowed to determine their
own fate as it pertains to their own ancient homeland. Prior to 1948
Palestinians never used the phrase “homeland†and were not looking for
one even in the remotest sense of the word.

Anarchist or Prophet?
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 03:14pm
"We have yet to begin to Imagine the power and potential of the Internet"-Charlie Rose, 2005.
The moment I heard Rose say that on his PBS show, I did begin to
imagine the power and potential of the Internet to unite we the people
of the world to challenge the "powers and principalities of this world"
via the world wide web nonviolently by using words of truth sharper
than a two-edged sword. For, there are no borders on the Internet and
"we have it in our power to begin the world again."-Tom Paine

Crossing Paths with a Whistleblower
Sunday, 07.01.2007, 03:13pm
Mordechai Vanunu grew up in an Orthodox Jewish home but abandoned the
faith by his mid teens. He became interested in the existentialist
writers and was an atheist for nearly two decades before he converted
to Christianity. He was baptized just weeks before he was kidnapped by
the Mossad, endured a closed door trial and then spent the next 18
years in jail-most of it in solitary for telling the world the truth:
that Israel had gone nuclear.
