Well, today I have a special post for webmasters and as well for the
non-webmasters. Would you like to have your own “www.yourname.com”
domain? Well, you have to pay about 7 or 8 dollars per year for your
domain but I have found a nice little site that allows you to earn
your own domain name. All you have to do is sign up on a particular
website, confirm your email and voila! You get one point each time you
do this and once you have 6 points you can request your own domain.
These offers only take about 5 minutes each, if not less. So
technically speaking, you can complete the offers in a half an hour!
There are two alternatives that you can use to earn your free domain.
One is the process I mentioned above and the other is completing
surveys. Both are legit and work, so just read below and choose the one
that you like.
1) Fbox.us -
This is the site that only requires you to sign up and confirm your
email on their offers. Now you may be wondering about spam and how your
email address will be used by the site. It is very much possible that
the sites will keep sending you spam, so I suggest that you make a
separate email address to do these offers. This is not a scam as I have
done it myself and the other user testimonials also suggest a good
response from the admins. You can also earn points for more things like
free rapidshare accounts, free gaming servers, free paid hosting from UMX Host, and more free stuff is being added everyday. Also, be sure to read the rules and guidelines before you sign up.
2) DomainLagoon.com
- There is also another site that allows you to earn your own .com
domain but you will need to complete several surveys which takes more
time. But some people may prefer this option so I decided to write
about this as well. Firs of all, you will need to be living in the
United States, Canada, or England to sign up on this site. This is
because all their surveys are targeted to the residents of these
countries. Also note, if your from Canada or England then you will have
less available offers to complete so it may take a longer time to earn
your domain.
All you gotta do is sign up on this site, see the available offers
and start completing. The points vary with each offer that you
complete. You must earn 9 points to request your domain. Its fairly
easy though, I got 11 points in about 2 hours. Also, I suggest that you
don’t do the cell phone offers as they may prove to be somewhat
misleading. Just stick to the free offers and you will be fine. Also,
you will need to validate yourself once you request your domain. This
means that you will be required to call on their automated calling
system and leave your credentials. It is all given in the frequently
asked questions so read them first. There are also other lagoons that
you can sign up with to earn different prizes. For example Cashlagoon, Hostinglagoon, Gaminglagoon, and more!
If you ask me, I would suggest Fbox over Domainlagoon as it is
available to all international people and is less time consuming. I am
eligible to request my own domain at Fbox but I have no ideas about
what domain as yet so I haven’t requested a domain yet. But I may do so
in the coming week or so. If i do then I will update this post telling
you of my experience. If you have any comments or questions, just post
below or contact me using the contact page (link at the top). I hope
you enjoy your own .com domain!
Update: As I said, I would tell you about my
experience with Fbox when I would order from them. I have earned the
domain technodorm.com and got it within 3 days. Although I do not have
full control over my domain yet, as their policy states that the domain
will be given full control to the user after 60 days. So for now I had
to tell them my nameservers and they updated for me. But after 60
days, I will have full control over the domain. So in the end my
transaction went the way it should have with no extra hassles and such.
If you need any help at any time during your run at Fbox, don’t
hesitate to contact me.
