The Ship Shape Container comes to us courtesy of designer Stefano Giovannoni and Italian manufacturer Alessi. The product is part of Alessi’s line of playful objects for the home and it features a lidded container with a concealed spreader/spatula. And yes, it looks like a little boat. Very cute.

In 2000, Stefano was recognized with best “Super & Popular” designer of the year award. And with a product like the Ship Shape container you can see why. Although, judging from the title, the award sounds as if it were made up. I mean, they may as well have called it the “Best Super & Popular Designer Of Funtime Kitchen Products” award.
