Timex 5E701

I believe that Timex has several GPS watches that offer good deals for their price.

The one that caught my eye was the 5E701 model. There are several different colors and variations of the watches that offer GPS capabilities, but I picked this one based on its design. The last two watches that I have owned have been Timex, and I have always had a good opinion about them. The package comes with a watch and an arm attachment that serves as the actual GPS receiver. Many may look away at the thought of having to wear a second unit besides the watch itself, but consider that the unit claims to give up to 12 hours of working time on one set of batteries. The watch itself has the standard battery time of about two years or more. Other GPS watches cost upward of $400 or only give an average battery life of about 3-4 hours.

This unit will give you distance, average speed, top speed, target distance, target speeds, and other useful information which may help meet your fitness goals during workouts. It is also splash-resistant and automatically synchronizes time of day. The watch itself offers 50 or 100 lap recall, chronograph, alarm, water resistant, etc…. and can be used separately without the GPS unit. At about $200 I think this watch is worth a look.
